Miss Kitty StrayMiss Kitty Stray
In December 2010, a beautiful and well kept, orange/white cat decided that the veranda of Bloomsbury Inn was a perfect new home.  She came with no baggage and was very determined to stay.  Believing she must belong to someone who was missing her, she was listed with the shelter, posted on Facebook and advised to vets.

December came and went; Miss Kitty Stray remained on the veranda.  We were not feeding Miss Kitty Stray; she continued to make Bloomsbury her home.  In January, following a rare, severe freeze, Miss Kitty had nothing to eat and no natural water sources.  The rest is history.  Miss Kitty Stray, the Bloomsbury Inn cat, is now a full member of the Bloomsbury Team -- she doesn't like the fact that she can not come in the house.

Innkeeper Message
Welcome to Bloomsbury! Welcome to our home!

Sensational in every season – Bloomsbury is to be enjoyed every day to the fullest!  We can not think of a better time to visit Camden SC, Kershaw County and the surrounding areas.  With the initial concept of Bloomsbury, we wanted a big ole’ white house (BWH) which would be continually filled with the joy of visitors from the world over.   In the eight years that we have been here, you have done just that -- filled our home with joy.  We want you ... to arrive to a spotlessly clean home, located on beautifully manicured grounds .... to enjoy the smell of fresh baked cookies and bread ... to say “wow” when you enter your selected bed chamber ... to be comfortable anywhere inside or out, as you experience the gracious hospitality of the deep South.  We want you to be pampered with comfort and relaxation!

In South Carolina, we are enjoying beautiful weather.  Even winter, when it can be a little cold, is a great time to visit!   We know the calendar reads Spring, but we have a few more cold days/nights before we really enjoy the beautiful Spring weather.  There are so many things to do and see in historic Camden, you may find that a one night stay does not allow you time enough to explore and enjoy it all.  If you did not receive the sample itinerary when you made your reservation, please don’t hesitate to let us know. We will e-mail it straight away.

We make every endeavor to exceed your bed and breakfast expectations. We have planned for a safe, luxurious experience to enhance your visit.  If we miss even the smallest of details, please let us know. The BWH was conceived and is designed to have you arrive as guests and depart as friends.

Bloomsbury…Home Again,
Bruce, Katherine and Miss Kitty Stray (our outside Inncat)

P.S. (a note from Miss Kitty Stray)  I try to greet each arriving guest, but if I miss your arrival, I promise that I will be on the front verandah at 5:30 pm each day.
